Education is the Key for the Future

Regular readers of Cutie Booty Cakes know that I am really committed to making a difference and I challenge my readers to do the same. If you are a new reader check my posts here and here for examples of this. Today I want to tell you about a cause that I believe in. And you all can participate. Donor Choose.org is having a fundraising drive for public school education. For the month of October bloggers are encouraging their readers to donate to schools that are in need.

The uniqueness of this program lies in the ability for me or any other blogger participating to choose the schools that we want our donations to help. Each school/teacher submits a proposal outlining the need and the amount of funds required. I chose 3 elementary schools in metropolitan Atlanta that are in areas with the highest poverty rate. I also chose 3 different subject areas - science, math and english.

I am pledging to raise $1000 and I would really like your help! There are other large well -established blogs doing this challenge in the "Mommy Blogger" category but it is my hope that We can make a difference here.

Please read the stories on the donation page and contribute whatever you can. Every dollar counts! Your donation is tax-deductible. Children are not asked to be born in poverty with poor access to the educational tools they need to get ahead. Please consider making a contribution to assist them in meeting their educational goals!
