Tank Top 5 Ways #OOTD {video post}

I don’t know about you but I am constantly on a search for a bargain, especially when it comes to fashion. I truly believe in the adage, “never pay full price” and I try to stick to my guns on this. I am known to buy pieces that last me for years, literally. I don’t have an extensive wardrobe but I’ve invested in timeless pieces that can easily be updated. And this is the heart of my post today. I was challenged by Walmart to purchase three Faded Glory Ribbed Tank tops that are sold for $3.94 and to come up with 5 different looks. Well, this is right up my alley because give me a white tank top and I will show you several looks and at this price point, I can get a number of tanks in colors and designs to update my outfits. But take a look at my video to see what I did!

The video is only 2 minutes, you really should check it out but if you aren’t one for video I have my fashions here for you! I started with 3 of the tank tops in white, red and horizontal striped tan and orange.

For my first look I went with the cargo pants paired with the orange top and I used the belt from the pants to tie the outfit together. This isn’t essential to do but quite frankly I like to accentuate my small waist.

Next I went with my date night look. I actually wore this outfit on a date and I think it is a classy polished look. I paired the white tank top with a pink peblum jacket that I’ve had 4 years (yes, I was rocking this style long ago!) a pair of jeans, a pink necklace, some hot shoes which unfortunately you really can’t see in the photo, and my trophy leather bag. I love this!

Next up, I used the red shirt for a pop of color and I’m ready for a business meeting. Casual but professional. I have a black and white jacket that I purchased at a consignment store last year and a pair of black shorts. I added a cute pair of flats and a tote, I am ready to go!

I had to pay homage to the gym because if you know me, you know that staying active and fit is part of my lifestyle. I used the white tank once again and paired it with some Danskin dri more pants from Walmart. I grabbed my gym bag and was ready to run errands around town and get a run in or go to the gym!

Finally, I decided a little biker chic was in order so I used my staple white tank and wore it with a leather jacket that I purchased in a New York boutique over a decade ago. I added a pair of Jordace jeans from Walmart, my killer boots a few accessories and I have a look that will take me from day to night! I actually am waiting for the opportunity to wear this one because watch out! I’m really feel confident in this one.

So there you have it, five outfits using a Faded Glory Ribbed Tank top as a base. I hope you get a chance to pick a few up from Walmart, there are so many options, I know I’ll be added more to my collection!
