Wordless Wednesday - Allyson Felix and the Social Good Summit

Allyson Felix, 3 time Olympian and Me!

I can't begin to explain the AWESOME that was the Social Good Summit this past weekend in New York. As a United Nations Shot at Life Social Good Fellow I represented the fabulous team that raised over $200,000 for vaccinations for children in developing countries. This summit was an opportunity to hear from other individuals committed to making a difference in the lives of others. There were so many great speakers and so much information that I am still processing but I was totally impressed by three time Olympian Allyson Felix. She is committed to getting children physically active and literally saving lives. You can read the full report conducted by Nike that explains the dangers of inactivity on the Designed to Move website and you can see the talk (and all of the Social Good Summit) on Mashable.

I love the work that Allyson is doing and of course admire her as an athlete. I left the Summit inspired and maintain my commitment to leaving a mark here on Earth.  I wish the same for you. If you need motivation, I suggest that you watch World Humanitarian Day ambassador Beyonce. This video will move you to tears. I promise!

I was following your tweets from the summit the other day, and they were real informative. And this is a wonderful initiative.
