The Truth Shall Set Me Free!

You may have noticed things have been different around here. I don’t post frequently and when I do post it is in small bursts. All will be quiet around here and then Bam! maybe a sponsored post (or two or three). I’m sure many of you are wondering what is going on?

How is the weight loss maintainence going?
How is the running?
Exercise in general?

Well, I’ll just spill it in bullet form:

  • I’ve gained about 20 pounds from my lowest weight. Yup 20. And as I’ve proven in the past, I know how to lose it but, well, it hasn’t happened.
  • Running? Well, I did run in New Orleans with Mom Run 2.0. that was a great experience because it isn’t often that I get to run with my bloggy friends. It was a great 3.5 mile run and my first since the NYC 13.1 on April 2.
  • Other exercise - virtually non-existent unless you count me taking a breath every few seconds as exercise!

And I suppose the next question to answer is Why?

Well, I’ll tell you. Life is happening. Yes, life happens every single day that we live here on planet Earth, however, life is changing in these parts.

How? Well, the Cutie Booty household is in the process of divorcing. And that my friends has kept me in a rut of sorts. it is amicable and mutually agreed as the right thing to do but folks, it ain’t easy.

So, if you see more posts than usual that are sponsored, please forgive me. But Mama gotta make an income and at the moment writing for money is keeping food on my table! That is not to say I don’t want to write, I do. But sometimes I’m lacking motivation.

Please bear with me. I promise things will get better. They have to! You know what makes me happy? Spending time with my friends. In NOLA. See the gleam in the eyes of Bossy and I?

Knowing I have good friends out there is what keeps me going. So don’t leave me, m’kay?

Oh, Renee! Even a mutually agreed upon divorce is still a hard breaking! And I'm so sorry. I am praying for you--I know you have a church around you and I hope you can lean into them, too.

Please let me know if there's anything I can do or support I can give.

Love you!

Renee,
You are one of the most wonderful, strong, brilliant, admirable, and truly sincere women on this planet. I have the greatest confidence that you are making the best decisions for you and your family no matter how difficult. As always, you will be a leader in good times and bad and ultimately set an example for others.
Much love. I hope to see you sometime soon,
Kate

Renee!!!!! Oh if we could rub our magic lamps and make our lives a big bed of sweet smelling roses..wouldn't that be just divine? Things will settle down soon, I'm sure. But don't you hate the roller coaster ride? Up and down...fast and slow...exciting and boring....happy and terrified. I wish you all the best.
Hey Renee, you better make that $$ girl! The blog and all your loyal fans will be here. I wish you the best as always :)

PS- You must still post about your sweet boy when you can :)

May you have peace during this transition. I am going through the same thing myself so my blog posting has been sporadic, too.

Hey honey - missed you at Mom 2.0. Writing this takes strength - but you take as much or as little time as you need. Something tells me you know (always) how to bounce back and do it in style.

I've only been reading for a short while now but I adore you! Sending hugs & prayers your way for the sake of all involved.

Don't worry...we'll be here when you're ready!

Yes, life does happen, doesn't it? I totally understand the need to write for money and not always for fun... I understand divorce... The transitioning... Sigh. Good luck with everything and here's to hoping that the "new" life will soon flow with ease and peace.
(hugs) Wishing you the best during this transition in your family. You are one of the reasons I started blogging so I will definitely still be around!

I'm sure you are doing the right thing and when things settle down, you'll get back into your routine and back on track. You have to cut yourself some slack but remember to take care of you as well in the process. Easier said than done. I just want you to know that you have a whole community of friends behind you and I'm proud to be able to call you one as well. Let me know if you need anything. xoxo

Praying for you sis, I know it is hard. In the midst of it all pray and run it works, pray while you run. Do your hair, get a mani pedi, pray and run. You have to take care of yourself and that includes your health so that you can be good for the babes and your self. Cuz once this storm passes and it will the sun will be beaming hard on you and you want to keep it fierce. Take care

Whew...Life can get "complicated" sometimes but what's great is that we recognize, acknowledge, and make the best decisions we can "at the time". Pray your way through this transition because that is what's going to bring you peace on the inside when chaos is surrounding you on the outside. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Keep ya head up!!!
Thinking of you and wishing you all the best, but mostly peace of mind, Renee.
It was so wonderful to see your beautiful face this weekend.... even for a few moments. I'm sorry to hear you are going through this - even an amicable situation, I imagine, is a challenge. Will be thinking about you and sending you all kinds of love. You are one of the strongest people I know and I love knowing that you are surrounded by a community of people who adore you and will be here to lift you up! xoxo
(((HUGS))) I know you're a strong woman, and you'll get through this, but seriously, if you need anything at all, just let me know. Mwah!

Oh, I forgot one thing, about a month ago I wrote a post on "Coping with Life Adjustments" about my divorce and how to handle it with the children; I thought it might be helpful to you or anyone else in the same boat.

Renee, I'm so sorry to hear that. Even if amicable, it is a tough process, but I'm sure you'll both do right by Mekhi. Stay strong!

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Awww, dear lady. So sorry to hear that. As was said, I'm sure even amicable situations are tough; the ending of a chapter and loss of the previous normal.
Big *HUGS*, hope to see you in person sometime to deliver more of them. ;p

Renee,

I am very sorry to hear that. I am here if you need to talk. Mine was just finalized in Oct 2010 after a 2.5 year process. It sucks!!! You say that it is mutually agreeable which sounds like you have a good attitude. So, if you want to talk to someone that is surely not going to tell you goofy things like "You should just stay together for the children", Let me know. I'm here. :)

(((HUGS)))

Kris

P.S. Yes, the sponsored posts and ads are a MUST now aren't they??

Hang in there, girl! You're strong and will get through it. I'm sure of it!

And, we'll all be right here!

Renee,

I was just reading something you posted on FB and it prompted me to visit your blog bc I haven't been here in so long (I am so sorry)! I am so glad I stopped by because I had no idea. Thank you for feeling comfortable sharing that detail of your life with us! Please, please let me know if there is anything at all I can do for you. DO NOT HESITATE to ask.
I read this the other day but didn't have the time to leave some love. Well as a result you have been in my thoughts all week. I can only guess at the stress and challenges in your life. I'm sending positive thoughts your way.

This too shall pass Renee. It was brave of you to share this with the world. Please know it is received with love and warm wishes for you and your family. We won't leave you, we will continue to support you.

Take care.

Hey Renee. We haven't been in touch for a while as I don't blog or tweet as often anymore but I'm sorry to hear about your divorce. I agree with so many others that it is very brave of you to share this with the world and I'm sure your courage will comfort other women in the same situation. You and your family are in my thoughts and may peace and love be with you.

Renee, it has been awhile since I've hopped by your blog. I think the last time I was here I was watching a video of your quiet stream turning into a raging river from the heavy rains.

And now, I come by and this! My heart just hurts for you.

I hope once life settles down or at least becomes routine again that you find the motivation to continue your weight loss journey.

An abundance of hugs to you Renee. You are right, sometimes, life just happens. You will emerge beautifully, I have no doubts.
I'm glad I finally saw this and am able to stop by and say that sometimes we have to go through the muck and mud to get to the garden. Much love and support.
