Summer Block Party - Healthy Tip of the Day! 4
Tip of the day: It is summer time, do some water play! If you have a pool you are ahead of the game. Swimming is a great low-impact activity that can burn tons of calories. The added benefit is cooling off (especially here in the hot South). Unfortunately, I do not have a pool so I we do the next best thing - sprinkler play. Since my son is an only child I frequently am his playmate, we frolic across our lawn running into and away from the spray of the sprinkler. Many times I’d rather just sit under our gazebo and watch him play but he will not allow it. Fun time and exercise at the bequest of a toddler. Gotta love it!
