Tip of the day: Occasional high calorie sweet indulgences are okay but take advantage of the summer’s vast variety of fruits. I’ve admitted my weakness for ice cream but I can’t eat it daily and I certainly won’t allow my son to eat it every day. To appease my sweet tooth I frequently turn to natures sweets --fruit! My favorite is watermelon. I can eat a whole watermelon by myself in two days and my family loves it just as much as I do. In addition to eating it off the rind, I cut it into pieces, freeze it and use it to make yummy smoothies and I have plans to make homemade popsicles too!
