I work out every day now and my diet has completely changed. It's been about 5 months now and I have lost all my extra weight too. I'm in a good place right now and since heart disease runs in the family, I'm sticking with this.

I work-out at least every other day and I've started the couch 2 5K program. I've increased my fruits and veggies and have cut way way back on the sugars and processed foods. I also take a statin every day to help control the cholesterol. It's a familial thing and no matter how much I cut back and exercise the LDL/HDL ratio would not be good without them.

Oh my, the increase in my client base the past 3 weeks has tapped into my exercise schedule to where I'm down to getting to the gym only once or twice a week.

Fresh fruits & nuts for snacks near my desk aren't enough. Renee, your Better U fitness pack would help me get in 20-30 mins of cardio, strengthening & flexibility training 3-4 times a week again.

From 190lbs in January to 175lbs today I know I can lose another 15 lbs right at home by September!

I dance! I take a belly dancing class, and practice with DVDs in my living room. I try to dance or walk 3-4 miles at least 5 times a week. I'm also trying to increase my fruit & veggie consumption.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

This girl has already started her healthy plan. Since our move I've been walking the treadmill for 30 mins a day, swimming and taking walks with the hubby.
We also have lots of fruit in the house. We have a large bowl that we keep on the kitchen counter with various fruits. It's amazing how much more we grab an apple instead of bag of chips.
I do this not for weight loss but for my heart and mood. It's so true that exercise is good for both.

I had a baby 4 months ago and while I've already lost my pregnancy weight I'm still in the market to shed about 30 more lbs! I've been walking every other day with my kids and taking them bowling almost daily. We are having a "healthy summer" which means no junk food in the house and LOTS of water! I'm also nursing so as a family my daughters and I are learning about eating balanced diets!

Since my move back home, I've started walking every other night.
Drinking more water and eating more fruits. I wasn't getting in as much fruits and water as I should have before. I found out last night from my mother that our family has a history of gout. That's scared me enough to keep pushing on and joining the Better You program.

On Friday I started working out again. I went walking with my teen and I really enjoyed myself. It's just getting up and doing it that's the issue 'cause I actually like to workout. And we did yoga today so I'm going to make exercise a regular part of my life for my heart health.

Come by on Tuesday to see my post about it. :-)

BTW: Red is my favorite color! :-)

i have been walking more and recently started running intervals to help increase my cardio. My mom had congestive heart failure years before she passed and it was a huge wake up call that scared me.

I exercise regularly to keep my heart healthy!!
After a year of making excuses after baby #2 was born, I'm finally up and off my butt doing cardio (almost) daily and watching what I eat to both slim down and keep my heart, mind and body healthy!

I walk with my kids almost every day and I also watch my diet. At 27 years old, I'm dealing with hypothyroidism and high cholesterol (genetic) which is a huge factor in heart disease. I have always ate healthy and exercised, but because this is genetic, I have to take medication. So, I try read food labels, watch my fat intake, and get lots of exercise!

I love these aluminum bottles for carrying water with me all day. Having the water around makes it easier to avoid soda.

Hi Renee!

I just started Jillian Michael's 30-day shred and finished day 3 yesterday. I'm not doing it every day, but I definitely plan to stick with it. With all my belly fat, I am at higher risk for heart disease. It's gotta go!!

right now to keep my heart healthy i'm not running (the anemia could cause a strain) but once i'm juiced up on some good fat red blood cells i'll be back to running for my heart! :)
I wish I could say I was running, but that is officially my LEAST favorite form of exercise, so I'm sticking to pilates and yoga with some cardio thrown in for good measure. And I'm working on my eating habits, because they are my biggest vice.
