When Cancer Hits Home

On Thursday while I was in Los Angeles I received an email asking for prayers. My good friend Jennae of Green Your Decor was rushing her daughter to the hospital in Atlanta (an hour away from her home) by ambulance. Her pediatrician suspected that her sweet four year old daughter might have leukemia.

She was right.

They are currently at the Aflac Center for Blood Diseases at Children's Hospital. And of course they are being treated but unfortunately the family does not have health insurance. The matter of money should be the last thing on their mind, ensuring that her daughter gets healthy is paramount.

It is my hope that the blogging community can come together to raise funds for the family. All parents fear for their health of their children and when the word cancer comes into play it is scary indeed.

Please pray for the family and if you are able please make a donation to help them with the hospital costs.

Click here to help! And also, if you could help spread the word it would be greatly appreciated!

I am so sorry to hear that- Jennae is so sweet, I can't imagine what she is going through. I will definitely spread the word.

Oh good heavens; I cannot imagine, only in a nightmare. I don't know Jennae (because I never go anywhere) but am so sorry...
Oh my this does feel close. I read her blog. As we all know, when you read someone's blog you feel like you know them well.

I am praying for her.

My friend Cathy ends her emails with the quote, "Always use your powers for good." Thanks for doing that, Renee.

How so extremely sad... God be with them. How sad not to have health insurance. I can totally understand. ... Are they able to get Medicaid or something for the children? I hope that people are able to donate. It is definitely scary when you can't do everything for your children or you have to worry about something like money when you simply should be focusing on your children. My heart aches for them, but I will keep them in my thoughts.
