Baby Blues

But I look at this photo from when he was four days old and feel pangs in my uterus. I want to once again feel the flutters of butterfly wings and later the breathtaking kicks that come with pregnancy. I am not sure if the source of my desire stems from the multitude of my bloggy friends having babies, my age, or just not wanting to have an only child.

All I can say is that despite all of the pregnancy aches and pains, the sleepless nights and the sore nipples, I really am pining for a baby. I guess now I need to convince hubby.

Where is that tequila and margarita mix? That did the job last time!

Oh I know what you mean. When your first gets to about 2, you really start wanting another.

Mine are 2.5 years apart. I do love having two.

I'm done now, but I still miss those baby days. (My youngest just turned 2.)

Awwwwww his picture was tugging at my uterus lol! My baby days are over but I soooooooooo miss having a baby around to spoil.
aww, I know how you feel even though I am NEVER doing this again ;-) haha!! That photo is simply sweet and makes me feel all tingly. You better not go spreading all your baby feelings around before some of us get in trouble!!I would love to see you guys have another addition to the Cutie Booty fam!! If it is in God's will then it will be and if not then at least you have your sweet little guy :) G
oops, that G was the beginning of a sentence that should read: Go have you a big ole margarita girl!!

Girl, I'm still organizing my blog.I can't relate to what you're experiencing but whatever you and hubby decide with or without tequila I support you. Although I must say about other folks children, I just love the juicy 6 month stage. Where they giggle, smile and hold on to you to try and stand up. My favorite age.

So true...I have 2 now, but feel I NEED 1 more!!
I have been trying ot figure out the best time to get my hubby intoxicated....glad we are on the same page! :)
Mine is 4, and we're feeling the same way. We keep telling ourselves all the reasons to wait, but I know from experience that it's better to have siblings who are closer in age. We might have to go back to the drawing board soon...

I feel exactly the same way! I want another badly too, though the mister is not quite convinced. He likes our routine, which has been a year in the making. I want my son to have a sibling, even more than I want to have another baby.

I felt that way, too, but the circumstances weren't right. Now, my itty bitty is almost 8! And, although I sometimes think about it, it's looking more and more like he'll continue to be an only. But, I'm still in the never-say-never stage. Stay tuned...BTW, I hope you had the margarita..

Oh...I want you to have your baby too! Keep working on your hubby and bring out these baby photos. Maybe he'll get wistful too. :)
Whenever I get the googly-eyed baby lust, Jasper manages to wake up at 4 am or throw a massive fit in public. I think I'm sticking at 2. I was an only child and never felt particularly lonely but it is pretty amazing to watch my kids interact. Sometimes they're at each other's throats, of course, but when they're in sync it is such a wonderful thing to watch...
Well, when you make such cute babies, it's no wonder that you want another one. Just don't do what I did and wait until so late. I had my youngest son at 38 and I will be near 60 when he finishes High School. Makes me tired just thinking about it!
If you find out a way to convince your husband, can you share it with me?? I am working on my husband about this as well.

:)

It's so true... once your older one starts to talk and use the potty and do all of those big kid things, you start longing for another. There's just something so special about those sweet baby days.
Go break out the margaritas!

You have something better than tequila this time around--Mekhi! I'm sure he'd love to have a baby brother or sister!

Baby brother or sister.... sounds like a good plan to me!!

Oh Renee, I know that feeling well...mine are almost 7 and almost 3, and I'd love to try for the girl. Unfortunately, the only way hubby would agree is if we win the lotto.
I do hope things work out, whatever God has in store for you and your family. I think Mekhi would make a great big brother!

I posted almost the exact same thing today : )
I just helped through a baby shower for a friend and used my daughters baby clothes to decorate, pulling out those tiny newborn clothes that started out too big for her really had me thinking about another baby.

What a sweet picture:) I felt the same pangs when I found out last week that my close friend is pregnant. Is it the strangest thing that even when you are exhausted and pulled in every direction that your brain (or uterus) still does that to you.

you just gave me pangs now...while i hold my wee-one, too!

It's funny but all of the women feel the same way as you. I would love to have another child but I know that if we do, we are taking the adoption route. Hope you can make it happen.
Yes, just last week this time I was really at the end of my rope with being pregnant. Today I am aching from my c-section, and up all night nursing and expressing. However, I have to say I am the happiest mom in the world. He is the sweetest thing.

I wish you much success in your journey towards making another baby.

When I saw the title of this post with the picture of your son I knew what it was about. I think it is so sweet! I know that feeling and remember it well. When my son was 2 months old I began making plans to concieve my next child. I was consumed by the thoughts, and desires to have a new baby. Imagine my happiness when after ONE planned weekend, I became pregnant. ...okay im going on and on here. Sorry, I got carried away. Anyway, you get my drift. Drag out the Tequila honee!

I remember that feeling. It's passed for me...but I'm at 3 and DONE. The chaos is too much for me with a special needs kid thrown in the mix.

I do have to admit to missing all that comes with pregnancy though. Good luck with the mixes. If they don't work, go for straight shots and fancy wear.
