Bringing Sexy Back! It's all in the B.....

The boobs. I said it, yes I did. Ladies, ladies, ladies, one of the easiest ways to get your sexy back is by taking good care of the boobies. Did you know that 80 percent of women are wearing the wrong bra size? Bras are riding high in the back or too low. Breasts are unsupported and unhappy. Yes, unhappy. Okay, maybe only my breasts are unhappy. I have always been a busty girl, I am currently rocking double DDs but at my smallest I was a very full C which is not small at all. So, finding the right bra has always been an issue for me. For many years I simply walked around with bras lacking support. It wasn't that big of an issue because the girls were still semi-perky but now support is essential. After nursing my son for 18 months and carrying extra weight that keeps my breasts on the large side, supportive bras are my best friends. I am well endowed but all of us from the smallest to the biggest can use some support or enhancement. I mean miracle bras were made to add to our blessings - ample or not.

I implore you to check out your bras and really look closely. Are your assets being well taken care of? Or are you still walking around in that tired nursing bra from 2 years ago? *ahem* In all seriousness, proper foundation garments can make or break an outfit. The right bra will have the girls sitting high and mighty and the overall look is polished. Believe it or not you can actually look smaller up top and taller. Oprah devoted an entire show to finding the proper bra. If you haven't been sized in awhile I suggest stopping by a specialty shop or department store and have it done.

Here are a couple of photos of me and my girls. See how nice and high they are? I am in love, love, love with my new bra, the Cacique Back Smoothing Bra from Lane Bryant. A big thank you to my favorite store for sending me a preview copy of this not yet available bra. My girls have never been happier! I have been so busy admiring my front that I had to take a quick back view. No unsightly lines! Love it.

See my coquettish pose? My lovely girls have helped me bring my inner sexy to light. This is an easy one, get a bra fitting, find a great bra and flaunt those girls!

Now that I'm leaving the breastfeeding world behind I am definitely in need of some new bras. It occurred to me last night that at least half of my bras are totally the wrong size. You are so right, a good bra makes all the difference. (I actually said that very line in a comment on another post earlier. What are the odds? It's a boob kind of day.)
Your girls are indeed looking happy!! I agree with you and I recently ditched my bras and bought proper ones that are very flattering to my teeny tinys!! I WAS a B when pregnant. I have grown to be happy with what I have ;)

Ha!
I read what you wrote to Carabee's and had to come over and see what you'd written.
I always thought I was comfortably settled as a C until I had my first son and was smothering him at birth with my EE's.
Fortunately they went back down, but I thought I would be able to go back to C's now that both my boys have been weaned. I recently got some and all I can say is I'm not contained. It's not fun when wearing white shirts and the unsightly lines are definitely pronounced. Guess I better go get re-sized. When are they releasing this great bra?

I am SO envious of your shape, dollin. RAUR!
I certainly need to get measured. Since having my son my boobs went from a C cup to DD and who knows where they are now. they seem to continuously disappear. I wear push-up bras just so I can keep my boobs up top. I had great perky breast pre pregnancy but now. Well I don't. As I said I were pushup bras so much that one time I put on a tube top with no bra and forgot that my girls are not as perky as they use to be. Such a horrifying (but funny) experience. Thanks for the post.
Now why did you have to go and put me on BLAST!??? You talk about riding high in the back. Well, how about riding high in the front? Grrrl, my "good" bras fit like pasties, and the sports bras more like slingshots.

Yes girl!!! Thank you for blogging about this!

I went to Lane Bryant on Valentine's Day and got fitted! Finally! And discovered that I was wearing the wayyyy wrong size. Not just the wrong size but the wrong cup! From a 38C to a something-D. wow!

Have a good one!

Looking lovely there =). You are so right. Can you believe that I sported the wrong bra size for a good portion of my life?? I was running around town in a B after baby, that wasn't the right size even before baby, and went to Fredrick's of Hollywood for a fitting and got my mind blown. DD. Now, how I had DDs in a B I still don't really know, but yeah, that was me. Not anymore though... my DDs are happy now too =).

I've never had a fitting. I know I should. I probably am wearing the wrong size. And yes, I've been wearing the same nursing bras ever since DS1 was born. Ha ha. So bad huh.

I used to get fitted at least twice a year. I haven't seen my youngest was a year old. She's 2 now. Shame on me.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Yea, girl, great post! I just went to Vicky Secret's Thursday and thought I was gonna walk out with a D only to be D-isappointed to have to get the doubles!

Mrs. Bar B, how the HECK??

Better fitting bras do make me happier, though!
PS. I'm so glad to see that there are so many DD like me!
