Funky Friday - Get Up!

I am a dancer. When I was younger I lived for the next party. Dancing and music were comfort for my soul and I went out dancing whenever I could. You've probably seen me, I am the last one standing (dancing) at the party jumping around like the energizer bunny. Although my days of hitting the clubs are long over I still love to dance.

Mary Mary's new song "Get Up" reminds me of my clubbing days. This is just the type of song that would have me boogeying across the dance floor all hours of the day and night. The message in this song is that we are all God's creatures and we can do whatever we want to do. So Get Up!

What is it that you have been procrastinating on? What is holding you back? Listen to this song and Get up! Dance around, be inspired. I wish you an enjoyable weekend.

I miss going out dancing. Sigh. Not that I don't love my life now, but those young carefree days sure were fun!
Alrighty then. I'm going to be inspired and get out there and do the things I meant to do but put off for so long that I can't remember what they were. Wish me luck!

As always love the post! Been not blogging or posting for a bit, but it is nice to be back reading and wonderful that your posts are always as great as ever!! You have a great weekend too! Oh and on clubbing days since I was basically born a senior citizen my clubbing days lasted maybe a year and then I turned into a pub gal and now a home body - board gaming, puzzle building.... I shake my head at me!!!

You're the last one dancing? Me too! Maybe one day we'll see each other out on the dance floor somewhere - if we mommies ever make it out there again!

I feel ya. I would always get annoyed when people would tell me they hadn't had enough to drink to start dancing. WHAT??? I can't even comprehend that! I would still dance even if both my legs were broken! You and I really need to go out dancing...
Funny you wrote this. I danced my fanny off today. No matter who tried to bother me, it didn't stop me. I just danced and danced and danced for about an hour and half. While I was dancing I realized I should have a New Years Eve Party. Surprisingly, my husband agreed. I'm gonna start planning now. I'm gonna send you an invite, children invited too!

it wasn't always the case, but sometime over the last few years i turned into one of those people who loves to be on the dance floor. my mom has *always* been one who'd be the "last one dancing." i have memories of her dancing around the house and at family get together. guess i've got some of that in my blood. :-D

i agree with you. dancing and music are certainly comforting to the soul.

every time i hear that song by mary mary i can't help but move.
I have 2 left feet, but my hearts into it.
