Nothing to See Here Just Me Rambling

I am feeling melancholy today. And there is no particular reason for it. I read Tea and Honey Bread the other day and she had the Blues. She pondered the question "why blue?" instead of some other color. Perhaps grey? I don't know if I have the Blues or any other color but I do feel the weight of all of my responsibilities bearing down on me.

I called my friend at My Brown Baby today and her response to hearing my voice was "What's wrong?" I answered "nothing" and we discussed the matter I called to speak with her about.

Now I sit here wondering - is there something wrong? Sadly, I have no answer. All I can do is push on. I will continue to think about the posts that I want to write but haven't. And I will attempt to get my bedroom/office together. It looks like a tornado has blown through here. Sadly it has looked like this for a couple of weeks now.
I am feeling inept, unfulfilled, inappropriately sad -you can fill in the rest, I think you have the idea.

I guess I better pick myself up, dust myself off and work on an attitude adjustment.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

blame it on the change in season or not having chocolate today or something! fountain diet coke always works well for me too!

Oh no, it's making its way East?! Surrender to it and just breathe. Unfortunately the mess in your office will still be there when "the taupes" (I settled on taupe) have passed. (Hugs)

We all have those days from time to time...but I bet the best way to make the "blues" go away is to spend some time w/your precious boy and share some giggles =).

Aww....Sorry about the Blues! Hopefully they will go away quickly (just not in my direction..hehe!)
Seriously, I'm sure tomorrow will be better!

I've been down too. I get this way every year. It gets really bad around Feb. I remind myself of all the good in my life.

The best way to cure the blues is to do what you like. Blog, giggle, paint your nails, you get the idea.

I've also realized that sometimes it's okay to be blue. I hope your blues lift soon!
Renee, I felt that way today. For me it has been things from my childhood that have been haunting me. You are allowed these kinds of days. I do sincerely hope you feel better soon. In the mean time eat lots of junk and say bad words! Works for me :) Cheer up friend.
Sending you sunshine and hugs. :)

We ALL have those days. I give in to it, tread water for the day, and make it an early night. Hope tomorrow is better!!!

Best thing to do is call it a day and try again tomorrow. Know that you have friends in your corner.

The bad days make the good days better, you know. That's why I appreciate them. =)

I feel “blue” sometimes for no reason too at times. I think it must be hormones. Sometimes I think it’s something I ate. :)

I think everyone feels that way sometimes. I hope it doesn't last long!
Aw, Renee! Everybody's got the right to these kinds of days. Get yourself something sweet--a pint of Butter Pecan Haagen Das, a Hershey's Chocolate Bar with Almonds, a hug from your beautiful son, which every bit as sticky and sugary and full of love as ice cream or chocolate--and go lay down and chill out. Works for me everytime!

I definitely feel like that sometimes. My moods are generally weather related I've noticed though. Hope you feel better soon.
Sorry you're blue. If it helps, I had the same kind of day--made worse after reading Laid-off Dad's blog! Maybe tonight's a good night for a chick flick instead of the computer. For some reason How to Lose a guy in 10 days always makes me feel better (as sappy as it is). LOL. Ok, don't tell anyone that.

I hate days like that.

One of my favorite sayings is "It's alright to sit on your pity pot once in a while...as long as you flush it when you get up!" You sound like you are having one of those moments. Even the most positive of us have "woe is me" days. I agree with "Frogs in my formula"...take two chick flicks and e-mail me in the morning! Smooches!

I think it's a seasonal thing. I have been feeling the same way and so have a lot of people I know. It's days like this I think of what my Pops always says, "You choose your day. If you want it to be a crappy day, it will be. If you want to enjoy it, you will. So choose it and warn me when it's crap. I don't want you rubbing off on my joy."

Smart man.

My prescription is laughter. I try to watch mindless humor, ie America's Funniest Home Videos, somehow just the act of laughing brings me up. I'm sure it's chemical.
There is so much in the air right now, it's no wonder why there is so much sadness in the air. Tomorrow will be a better day. I'm with Denene, eat some sweety fatty, crunchy, chocolatey goodness and chill.

i often have blue days. don't worry, my shrink tells me it's perfectly normal. just kidding of course! LOL! reading funny blogs usually helps me cheer up.
I hope you start feeling less blue soon, I know when it starts getting cold here I start feeling blue too.

Renee,
I don't know anyone who doesn't get a bit low every now again. It's called life. Sometimes we can't put our fingers on it but a general malaise sweeps in just enough to may us think 'uh?'.
I suggest a little bit of pampering, a little time out for yourself. Whenever one of us is a bit blue my girlfriends and I do something we all enjoy or have never tried before - just have fun.

As Iyanla Vanzant says 'There's value in the valley'. She's right.

Don't worry, this too shall pass.
Thanks for being honest and open here. I'm sure you have helped a lot of people.
Hugs,
Zee

I hope tomorrow is a better day for you. Sometimes I feel like my life is that picture personified. When I feel this way,I pray and read the bible. I eventually realize that all of my mess is really not that deep and that in the mist of my mess, I can still give God the glory. Peace! I also listen to India Arie's "This Too Shall Pass"--My favorite line is "even the day after tomorrow will one day be yesterday."

I think everyone has those. It seems to interfere in all aspects particularly for me, especially when it comes to writing. It's temporary though. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Hey,

I am sending some of my joy, peace and happiness to you. I do have those days also, but I also know that tomorrow has got to be better. I put on my favorite heels, open up the sunroof and ride, ride, ride. (But lately with the gas prices it has been ride. ;)).

I know today is going to be great for you and me.

Love ya,

MiVida
