A new day
I hope that yesterday's post didn't seem like a downer. That was not my intention. But I admit I am sometimes frustrated by the mommies that present the "all is nice in happily ever after land" front. I don't care who you are, everyday you are not leading a charmed life. I think that my post yesterday was in response to some of that and also my recognition that it may appear that I live such a life. I want to be honest about my reality.
Wanna know about my reality today?
I am super dooper excited! I am sure that you noticed the new diggs. My new pal Lindsey of Mommy Chronicles designed my blog and she works super fast! Thanks Lindsey!
In other news, my blog is now listed at AllTop, an online "magazine rack" the highlights the best sites and blogs that the web has to offer. I can't tell you how excited I am to be included in the Mom Blogs group. I am keeping company with blogs that I truly admire and aspire to be as successful one day - Motherhood Uncensored, Rocks in My Dryer and The Bloggess among many, many others. This wonderful news provides -
Enough said.
And finally, I am preparing for my trip to Disney World for the Mom Bloggers Mixer. Tomorrow Mekhi and I are off to New York. He is going to get time with grammy while I spend some much needed me time at the girlfriend's weekend with other moms. Just think - no checking my watch because I fear being out too late at Girls Night Out. This is truly a first for me. And having never been to Walt Disney World before I am truly going to live it up!
Of course preparations have to be made. I did a wee bit of retail therapy this weekend. The most important item - a good support bra. I've spoken about this before and I finally purchased one of Jill Scott's Butterfly Bras. The "girls" are not quite as pert and perky as they used to be. Weight gain prior to, during and post pregnancy, coupled with thirteen months of breast feeding; has helped to "bring down the house" so to speak.
I have to say that Jilly is on to something here. The butterfly bra truly has given the "girls" a beauty lift. And we all know that having the appropriate foundation garments are integral to looking great in your clothing. I want to be ready for all of the pics I plan on sharing with you from my trip.
On that note I am going to finish up packing, foundation garments in tow.

By the way, Congrats again on being selected for All-Top. I'm just a wee bit jealous!
Oh, and I can't forget about the Butterfly. I am extremely jealous, I just want you to know that. Unfortunately it doesn't come in my band size so you'll have to wear it proud for us "bigger cup smaller back size" gals and take some fierce pictures =).
Congrats on the good news on your blog! BTW< thanks for stopping by my blog.
Thank you so much for popping by & giving me some bloggy love on my big SITS day! ; )
I have no need for a special bra since a little girls undershirt works fine for me!
Life is great here...
Congratulations (extreme congratulations!) on being listed on Alltop. You do indeed kick ass.
Have a wonderful time and soak up as much girls time as you can. You deserve it!
Now, go forth and have fun at Disney.

I think what makes us moms gravitate towards mom blogs and really get into the community of it is finding people who have problems that we can relate too, as well as finding others who can appreciate the good stuff and share in our joy with that too.
You are real honest and that's why we adore you!
As for the happy mom front, sometimes people have to put up only their good sight. They just can't be anything different. And although it may not be a real representation, it is what they want to show. I understand it can be frustrating, but I think we all just need to realize that EVERYONE has bad days, some people just like to pretend they don't. And that is okay, because the great thing about the internet is we ONLY have to share the parts we like! Unless we want to share more!! ;D
Congrats on Alltop, and I love the new design!
And I love the new layout, it's awesome!
and yep..yesterday's post was just fine. :-) not a downer at all.
congrats on everything, and have yourself a great time.
I would love it if you'd consider subscribing to my feed. :)

Have fun at Disney World!
Soak your stained laundry in a bowl w/ a scoop of oxy and water. You can leave it in there for a few days. The baby oxy works the best. If this doesn't work nothing will. P.S. don't use tide to go sticks they turn white stuff yellow.
I just read your previous post. Although I don't post everything in my life, I do post things that aren't always rosy.
Your blog is adorable and congrats on being on Alltop! I hope I get there one day...
Disney World is amazing. I've grown up in Florida and am about 2 hours away from Disney, so I've been there more than anyone should. You have to go to the Magic Kingdom (the original park) and go on "Its a Small World". Yeah, the song will be stuck in your head all weekend, but it's worth it. Have fun!
I may have to check out that bra, mine are a little worse for the wear these days. My bras, not my boobies, although they're not in as good of shape as they used to be either. Sigh.
