Baby Shower Gift - Froggy Diaper Cake

Here is my newest creation; the froggy diaper cake. This time I wanted to try something that was whimsical and I think that I succeeded. This particular cake is for a woman expecting a boy but is appropriate for either sex. I hope that the gift giver will be happy and I will report on the reaction later today.

Cutie Booty Cakes is my first true entrepreneurial endeavor and I enjoy sharing this with you. As I continue to work on my business I will provide updates by showing you my new cakes and sharing milestones with you. If you are so inclined and want to offer advice I absolutely welcome suggests, opinions, etc.

Here is a brief update. One of the things that I have been doing is working on getting more online traffic to my website. Ostensibly writing this blog was supposed to do that but I discovered I enjoyed blogging and while my business is a part of who I am, that is not the primary topic of my blog. The blog has however opened doors for me and actually does send traffic to my website. By blogging I am meeting so many people that are crafters or in the baby business and these type of connections are great. We end up learning from and promoting each other. It is a wonderful thing. And as far as my website goes I understand that building a business takes time and relationships are an important aspect of any successful business.

So, I want to take a moment to thank everyone that has assisted me with my business in this "virtual world." I will start with you, yes you reading my blog. I appreciate your visit(s) here and hope that you enjoy my writing and viewing my cakes as much as I enjoy sharing this with you. I also want to thank all of the mompreneurs out there that have reached out to me - the list is numerous and many of them I have mentioned in past posts, but I truly feel a sense of community and I have to say I love it. Thank you to all of the moms I have met or will meet on the Mom Bloggers Club and Posh Mama. These groups are great - if you are a woman you should check them out when you have a chance. I could continue to go on and this is starting to sound like an acceptance speech. I will just end by saying I truly feel blessed by all of the positivity , well-wishes, comments and general support that I have felt from you all. So a big heartfelt thank you to you!

Let's all gang up on Kathie Lee at the Today show and ask her what part of 'sense of community' doesn't she understand?! Sorry, just a little anger left over from her treatment of Dooce and blogging in general.

It is nice to see how twitter can work.....I got to your blog.

I received a diaper cake at my baby shower for my daughter Olivia in 7/04. It was made with tape by my girlfriend's daughter. I'd never seen one before and although it was "primative" compared to yours, I thought it was a very creative and useful gift.

I have since made two cakes for a shower gift. Better than the one I received in "04 & "primative" compared to yours. I received loads of positive comments & queries re: where did I buy it.

Fortunately, I decided to stick with the law practice business route.....I could never do a good job like you do with your cakes.
