Back to School Shopping at Kmart
It is truly hard to believe that my son is
already 8 years old and headed to the 3rd grade. Where does that time go? I can
still distinctly remember being a walking zombie with all the night feedings
and working a full time job but those days are long gone and my baby has become
a young man! Here in Georgia school has already started for many and I am
prepping my son so he is ready to go when the doors open at his new school.
This year will be a little different because he is attending a magnet school
for technology. He has a deep interest in technology (I wonder where he got
that from??) and I have high hopes for this school year. One of the major
differences this year is that he will be wearing a uniform four days a week but
on the fifth day he can let his style shine!
Of course being the fashionista that I am, I
shop for my son’s clothes and of course want him to look great! I was given the
opportunity to express his style by Kmart and CafeMom so I went shopping and am
very excited about the back to school looks I was able to find there. I am done
with the uniform shopping so this trip was all about style. Since we go back to
school in the heat of the summer, the first outfit I chose was an athletic one.
This is by Everlast Sport and consists of the
Beast Mode wicking top ($11.99) in grey and blue and shorts ($11.99) that I
absolutely love and with good reason. These shorts are reversible so I have two
outfits in one. I love being able to stretch my dollars and this is a
fashionable and easy way to do it!
The second outfit is a casual t-shirt and jeans
combo. Of course, I had to give my little man a bit of swagger too! The jeans
are dark washed slim straight by Route 66 ($16.99). My son is
pretty slim so a major selling point for these jeans is the adjustable waist.
The white tee shirt ($12.99) is by SK2 apparel and has a really great
skull design that is under a mesh overlay. It is spunky and fun, I love it and
I know he will too!
Finally I purchased a really edgy baseball
inspired outfit by SK2 apparel. I think this
one is my absolute favorite. The top is reminiscent of a baseball jersey and is
called Home Run Rebel ($15.99). It has black on black detail - the front is
embroidered with the word rebels and the back has a black decal designed
number. It is such a great look. For the pants I chose a pair of joggers
($18.99) that are knit and have mesh accents down by the ankles. This is look
is a bit different from how I usually dress my son but I am coming to the
realization that he is getting older and so his look must become a bit older
too!
My son is ready for at least the first four
weeks of school with these outfits and I am looking forward to checking out
Kmart a lot more for fashion for my son!
