The Bible
The History Channel is airing a 10 part series called The Bible. It began on March 3rd. If you missed the first two episodes, not to worry, you can catch up with ON Demand. I personally have been DVR’ing the entire series so that I can watch with undivided attention. Not since I was a child and The Ten Commandmants starring Charlton Heston aired have I watched a television series depicting anything from The Bible. As I watched the premiere episode last week, I was riveted to my television by the sheer visual beauty of the series. Check out this video and you will see what I mean.
The Bible is produced by Mark Burnett ( you may know him as the producer of Survivor and the Celebrity Apprentice) and thus far I am elated with what he has done. If you are unable to catch up or just want to own this epic series, it is available for pre-order in Digital HD exclusively at Walmart. If you pre-order, you will have access to 10 “first look” episodes on Vudu. You can also purchase companion books for the series which include the novel AStory of God and All of Us for adults and young readers and a devotional.
I am looking forward to purchasing the books for myself and my son. He is learning to read and this will be not only a great way for him to practice but also he can read some of his favorite Bible stories and I know that will thrill him! I am looking forward to watching the remaining 8 episodes of the mini-series and I am sure that this is one that will be watched by numerous people for many years to come.
