Kale salad and maintaining weight loss

Lately I've been slowly integrating healthy eating back into my life.  Although I generally make good food choices, there are times - especially when my hormones are going crazy- that I will do things like eat great food and horrible dessert. I am past the point of beating myself up about this. I simply keep adding good foods to my diet and eventually my bad food habits will die away.

I've been reading a number of my old posts and can hardly believe how far off the wagon I've slipped but knowing that I do have the discipline and desire to be healthy in my heart, I am getting on the right track. So, this week, without premeditation, I am posting about foods I eat. The good choices (I'm sure you don't need to see a photo of the sundae I made the other day you can figure that out for yourself) I'm making.

I am far from perfect and the first to admit that maintaining my weight loss has been far from easy (I am actually up about 15 pounds as we speak!) . But running consistently as I train for the Marine Corps Marathon, attending FitWit classes and signing up for 20 CrossFit classes makes me feel good! I am easing into excellent health with no apologies for the bad choices I make. Why? Because the more I focus on the good things the better I feel and the better I feel the better I do.

One of today's healthy choices has been this EXCELLENT kale salad.  I used a lot more kale so I'd have ample leftovers,  the entire half cup of dressing and whole almonds (for some reason I couldn't find slivered almonds in the grocery store).  I also added some fresh organic strawberries which were truly a nice addition. I plan on using the remaining kale (I purchased a bag) in a smoothie for dinner tonight.

I admit, I am a work in progress. We all are. But I have to start somewhere so here's to healthy eating and living!

self-honesty is the best way to deal with stuff and improve yourself. Welcome back onto the wagon! (you going to Fitbloggin????)
Dieters dread the plateau. You're on a roll, losing weight steadily and happily for weeks. Your confidence is high and your goal is in sight. Then suddenly your scale freezes. No matter how hard you try, those extra pounds just refuse to budge.

Hello there! This post could not be written any better! Looking at this article reminds me of my previous roommate! He always kept preaching about this. I most certainly will forward this post to him. Pretty sure he's going to have a good read. Thanks for sharing!

Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally,
it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point.
You clearly know what youre talking about, why waste your
intelligence on just posting videos to your site when you could be giving us something informative
to read?
