My Fresh Start: A New Year of Health and Fitness!
Happy New Year!
I know I’m late but I’ve been vacationing in New York for the holidays and just returned home this week.

Just call me Sporty Spice!
I really intended to start my first blog post of the year with a video. But, I am currently perched on my couch trying to fight this cold and/or bronchitis that I am suffering from at the moment. So, no videos today. But it is a new year and I’d be remiss if I didn’t share with you what I’ve been up to.
First, you may have seen my familiar face on your television screen, I’m currently being featured in an EA SPORTS Active 2 commercial. EA SPORTS Active was instrumental in starting my journey to healthy living and I lost my first 20 pounds using the fitness product with my Wii. And since we are talking about fresh starts, I’ll tell you that I have been totally lax about exercising. Once I am able to get off of this couch I am going to start my nine week EA SPORTS Active 2 program because *gasp* I stepped on the scale Wednesday and it read 161 pounds!
Unacceptable! Even though I still fit my clothes, I have to nip this slow upward climb of my scale in the bud immediately. Over the next few weeks I am traveling but I am still committing myself to exercise. I need to prepare for the Disney Princess Half-Marathon on February 27th (the day after my birthday) and I’ve been slacking on my training! So, I’ll couple running with utilizing EA SPORTS Active to kick start my exercise for the New Year.
So here are the stats:
Weight: 161
Exercise minutes this week: 0
Healthy Eating: Could be better!
In addition to exercise I have to start eating right again. All of the deserts and heavy food of the holidays caught up to me. I honestly have to say that I am not crying about it but I am going to take action and do something about it. I’ll have to take a shopping trip and pick up some healthy eats this weekend.
At this rate anything I do next week will be an improvement over this week! Perhaps you will decide to join me in my Fresh Start Challenge. A few of the other Walmart Moms are taking the challenge too!
Disclosure: I am a member of the Walmart Moms program. Walmart has provided me with compensation to share my journey to healthier living with you as part of the Fresh Start Challenge. Participation is voluntary and as usual, all opinions are my own.

Cheers!
Happy New Year, Renee.
You are going to have no trouble whatsoever getting back on track because you are a committed, determined lady.
Happy New Year and I hope you nip that cold in the bud, too.
I just bought EA Active 2 yesterday and did a 15 minute workout. I'm starting with the 3 week program (baby steps!) and my trainer is Niki. I read a lot of good things about this "game" and decided to give it a shot! I'll be following right along with you.

My friend at 'Losing in the City' always sings your praises so I thought I'd check you out finally (not sure what took so long).
I'm right there with you in the journey and here's me sending you positive vibes for staying on the right track.
