Snow in March - In Atlanta!

Big, wet, fluffy, snowflakes are falling in metropolitan Atlanta. This is the type of snow that I loved as a kid. I remember walking home from school sticking out my tongue (did you ever do that?) to feel the cold coolness of the snow as it melted on my tastebuds. This snow is the best of all because it comes in quickly and if the temperature remains steady quickly melts. There are reports that the temperature will be dropping this evening and I am fearful that we are in for icy roads tomorrow. I will be content to stay in the warmth of my home, playing with Mekhi and enjoying the remnants of the first (and likely only) snowstorm of the season.

Love it! The kids and I just had a snowball fight and are sipping on some yummy hot chocolate right now. I grew up with the snow, too, and remember tasting it on my tongue, making snow angels and all that good stuff. It's fun to get to do all those things with your kids - even if it only happens once in a very blue moon here in Hotlanta.

Wifey

I'm so glad you are excited about it. Me on the other hand, up here in New England where we have been hammered with it all year.....you can keep it. We are expecting up to a foot. I just wanna hear birds chirp and bees buzz at this point.

There was a thin blanket of snow on the ground here in Baltimore when I woke up, but it melted within a few hours. Too bad, I was hoping for a little more to get the girl out playing in.

Sounds beautiful. We have been saved from a drought this season by a system of rain storms. I got me a pair of rainboots, so no more wet feet, Miss J has her raincoat, boots and matching umbrella so she's all set. We have been enjoying the weather in that aspect, but I am a little sad that we will not be seeing the snow this year... again.

Hey there - snow! Yea! Or not. I'm not a huge fan, but I forced myself outside with my 4 year old today because we got snow over the weekend as well. :) We made angels and threw snowballs at one another. Stay warm tomorrow!

Wow! I heard the east coast got hit. Ugh!
Vegas had their fill of snow last winter. Our son hadn't seen snow since he was 2 years old and we were living in Maine.
My husband and I enjoyed watching him drive the golf cart, in the snow, making turns and driving.
Im from Ohio and moved here to get away from the snow darn it lol!

I would give you my unopened (but soon to be) Ding Dong sitting here on my work desk to be able to switch places so I can catch a glimpse of the "white stuff"......my family and I are Northern transplants to southern FL and every winter my heart aches to see some good ol' snow on the front lawn. Please can we switch? I'll throw in a chocolate covered donut....beautiful picture by the way.

My best, Lynn

Do you think you will take your little boy out in the snow to play if only for a minutes. I'm sure it will be funny to see his expression.

When it snows in Georgia, it really is a big deal. Amazingly, it only snowed here (TN) for about 20 minutes and it didn't stick. Typically when it snows here, it REALLY snows. My daughter got to see snow for the first time in January, and she thought it was the coolest thing in the world.
