Rock the Red Pump!

Today is National Women And Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. I am joining 100 other women bloggers to Rock The Red Pump and raise awareness about this disease. HIV/AIDS disproportionately affects African- American women, it is the number one cause of death in the 25-34 year old age group. There are more statistics available at Kaiser.org and CDC.gov. Check out my vlog for more information about this deadly disease. I commend Luvvie and Karyn for starting The Red Pump project, visit the Rock The Red Pump blog for more information and a full list of participating bloggers.

And here is my red pump!

I love those shoes! I've been seriously coveting some red shoes lately, I don't know what it is.

Thanks for spreading the word about AIDS. Despite the fact that it still afflicts so many, you just don't hear much about it any more.

This is a great cause and a wonderful and creative way to "get involved". I regret being too busy to be amongst the 100 women who participated in bringing attention to this project. Thank you for being one of them... and those pumps are fabulous!

People become so immune to all the horrors around us, they begin to accept them. :( I think what you and the other ladies are doing is wonderful. I love your red pump, by the way.
