No Bake Cookies

Yum. Double yum. These cookies are delicious. I am the first to admit that they are not the prettiest cookies on the block but they taste heavenly. And since I am all about quick and easy these cookies only take 15 minutes to make. That's right, 15 minutes. I am so happy that I read I'm Not Your Average Soccer Mom's blog yesterday, she posted this recipe and I was able to make it while feeding Mekhi his dinner.

These cookies are for the teacher appreciation luncheon at his school and another batch will be in rotation on Sunday when I attend my cookie exchange. This one pot recipe is so simple to make with ingredients you have on hand: butter, cocoa, vanilla, sugar, salt, peanut butter, milk, and quick oats. I think this is a great cookie to make with children, they can drop the cookies once the ingredients are mixed and if they are older they can make them with adult supervision.

If you are looking for a solution to keep you from sweating over the oven baking dozens of holiday cookies, No Bake Cookies are just right for you!

You know I have to try this now right? I think my kids would have fun with this.
I love no bake cookies! yummy! A magical WW to you!
Girl, now you tell me. I just this moment finished sweating over the oven with my girls for four hours of cookie baking. We made 10 small tins for everybody and their uncle, and a large tin for my Christmas eve gathering. Whew I am bushed, and then I come across this, LOL!

Who needs good lookin' when you have good tasting? :) These look easy and great for a sweet tooth fix.

Oh, and don't be scared of yeast! It's a lot easier to bake with then you'd think.

These cookies are awesome. My mom used to make them when I was a youngster. I'll have to try making them with my Cade, he would love that.

ah, yes. this is a classic.

I'm not actually a huge fan of unbaked cookies anymore--probably because I've gotten used to my special (occasional) breakfast treat: chocolate pb oatmeal. no butter, no sugar. just oatmeal, pb, milk & a handful of chocolate chips. (and now the cookies just taste too sweet; I never used to think there could be such a thing as too sweet.)

I just made those the other day! Just don't double the recipe. Make 2 separate. That may be an all time baking rule or something that I just didn't know. The cookies didn't form right. I ended up scraping them off and putting them in a container in the fridge. They eventually hardened, but still. They are all goopy. Ah, lesson learned. :)

Okay, can I just tell you? You are so darn cute in this video! BTW--is that a bottle of wine I saw on the counter? Does that come with the cookies?? :)

Wow, that does sounds really easy and fast to whip up. They look just right for Kindergarten hands too... if only they didn't have peanut butter. Nuts are banned from Miss J's school due to children who have severe nut allergies. BUT, I think I will keep this in mind for home since Miss J likes to help me in the kitchen.
I love no bake cookies! I need to make some now!
