Word(less)ful Wednesday - Grateful

This is a photo of my mother and Mekhi earlier this year. Mekhi no longer sucks his fingers and I am glad that I got this shot. He is clearly grateful for his fingers and the warmth and comfort of grandma's arms. I believe my mother is grateful for FINALLY having a grandchild. Although she looks kinda sad in this photo she is actually watching tv. I caught her in an unexpected moment and I think it is beautiful. In my opinion this photo personifies gratefulness.

My little sis sucked her "fing-gays" JUST. like. that.

Can I crawl in there???? I sooo need that right now.
I love this post and I am excited to feature it on the #gno blog (http://mommygossip-gno.blogspot.com). I was also excited to see you at GNO tonight. Thanks for your enthusiasm, participation, and your spirit. I remember the first time I discovered your blog and we were chatting about volunteering and service. When I saw you tonight, I knew you would be into the topic, because it is so much a part of who you are. I'm glad to "know" you!!!

I know you said she was watching TV but it looks as if she's looking into the future and saying come what may, you can ALWAYS find peace, love and acceptance in my arms.

at first, it did seem like your mom was sad, but i see it now... she's just comforting and loving WHILE watching tv... moms are good at multi-tasking, are they not? and mekhi looks so protected and loved (and content!).

What a great picture! Those cuddly moments are the best!
This is a very sweet shot and I long for my mother to be around my kids. My mil is always around them but there is nothing like having your own mom around.

That's a wonderful shot! Your mom looks so young! That's definitely a shot to cherish.

How'd you get him to stop sucking his fingers. My second daughter sucks those same fingers except on the left hand. The baby sucks her thumb, but the other two never sucked their fingers. Neither suck their fingers at daycare or school, but I can't break them at home.

Found your blog while playing Mission Monday. LOVE your blog design...it is so beautiful and fun but still readable! Great job. I'll be back to check out more stuff because you seem to have a lot going on and I've already neglected my housework too long so I've GOT TO STOP. (This blogging is addictive but my husband is fed up that the house is going to hell in a handbasket).

And the Calgon post reminded me that is has been WAY TOO LONG since I took a bubble bath so that is going on my to do list this week!

Thanks!
