Funky Friday

I like the idea of dancing on Friday and celebrating the end of the week. Today I am dancing to a song from the first Broadway show I ever saw - The Wiz. In the early seventies my mother took me to see the show - twice and it has been a favorite ever since. Stephanie Mills as Dorothy cannot be topped.

This version of the song Can You Feel A Brand New Day is from the The Wiz starring Diana Ross(not my favorite, she was too damn old to be Dorothy, but that is another story). It is so appropriate for this week when we are all experiencing a new day. Enjoy the video and enjoy your weekend!

Sweet! Loved "The Wiz!" For some reason, it was playing A LOT on cable a few months ago... my kids adored it so much that I broke down and bought the soundtrack, and took them to see a stage version at a local theater in ATL. Cute video... thanks for the memories. Now I have to go put on Stephanie Mills' version of "Home." FIRE.

I was reading the news this morning about his daughters in the white house... about all the fun things for children who live at the whitehouse. The movie theater and popcorn cart, the ushers who will walk their dogs and all. It sounds so cute and like a fairy princess land- I want to go!

Michelle is a really together woman- she came to our town by herself on the campaign trail and impressed EVERYONE... and I mean everyone, including republicans.

Anyway- this is my 2 or 3 times at your blog and wanted to say it is really cool and love how you market your business on here. Very sharp!

I was dancing to the music too! Stephanie Mills brought back memories. She has a song that I loved back in the day but I can't remember the name of it. Now I'm going to be thinking about that all day. :)
