A Shoe Meme
My best bloggy friend Mannequin of Fractured Toy asked her readers to show their top ten shoes. I am in no way a shoe horse. I generally find a pair of shoes I like and wear them until they can't be worn anymore. But I do have shoes in my closet that I adore, so here we go.
These are wedges that I love. DKNY. On sale of course. Maybe I paid $35.00 bucks for them. Yeah, I deal like that. Bargain babe all the way. I've had these beauties for about 3 years.
These are the shoes that I wore to my wedding. Unconventional color but they are comfy and purple/lavender is my favorite color.
Here are a pair of hiking boots that are practically brand new. I know that they are five years old but I have only worn them a couple of times. I thought hiking was going to be a new form of exercise for me but that didn't last long at all. I still think they are cute and maybe I can find some trails to try them out on here.
These are my sexy shoes. Their time is up and they need to be retired. I may not wear them again but I have good memories attached to them so they continue to reside in my closet.
Here are a pair of shoes that fall into the "very unlike me but perfectly matched an outfit so I purchased them anyway" category. Very cute with a nice pair of jeans.
A pair of gladiators from a couple of years ago. I still like them.
These shoes were made for walking. Despite the heel they are pretty comfy - at least for short periods of time.
Here are a pair of boots that have seen me thru a few winters.
And these are my all time favorites. Love them. Wait, you don't understand. LOVE THEM!!!! These shoes are almost 7 years old. A gift for Christmas 2001. Absolute favorite. They are sexy and suit my personality but if it were up to me would never have left the store. Because really, how often do you wear a pair of boots with five inch heels? Not very often. I wear these babies maybe once a year.
And finally my road dogs. These are the sandals that have gotten me through this summer. Comfy. Describes them completely.
You can play along too. What do your shoes say about you?

I feel you about getting the wear out of shoes. I am constantly trying to convince myself that my toe ain't about to come outta the front of my favorite pair of sneakers, lol.
I LOVE your "sexy" shoes and your gladiators. I just canNOT wear shoes that are not comfortable, I'm just not going to do it.
Thank you so much dear friend for playing along, I was SO hoping to get a peek in your closet! When you *forced us* into taking a picture of ourselves "just as we are", it was so liberating that I wondered if I was brave enough to show the world my shoes. The thanks goes to you.
I don't know how I found your blog... But what a lovely blog you have!
That pic of you w/ your baby is sooooo cute... :) What a great smile!
:)
oh how I miss real pretty shoes...
oh how I hate wearing cowboy boots and running shoes all the da** time.
I live in some funky Pumas that I should probably toss (sure they stink)... miss my heels... but who needs 4" heels when the only eyes that see how cute they make my calves look are the cows????
Thanks Renee for the cool post-

I'm starting a shoe fund. Forget rent and food! I need new shoes.
