About Me
Renée holds a Masters Degree in International Affairs and has worked domestically and abroad in the field of HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention for over ten years. After the birth of her son, Renée decided that having a flexible schedule and working from home would be the best option for caring for her young son.
While working as the Director of a National Literacy program, in July 2008 Renée launched her personal blog Cutie Booty Cakes as a way to promote her first entreprenuerial endeavor, a diaper cake business. Before she had even shipped a cake, she was bitten by the blogging bug and had found a new passion.
A self-confessed social media junkie, Renee leverages the power of social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to raise awareness of important social and health-related causes. Over the last year, Renée has lost over 50 pounds and utilized social media to document her journey. She ran her first half-marathon in October 2010 and raised over $5000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as a member of Team in Training. In February 2011 she ran the Disney Princess Half-Marathon and runs the NYC 13.1 half-marathon in April. She plans to run the New York City Marathon this year and raise money for the HIV/AIDS organization Grassroots Soccer.
Renée was named as one of the top Moms in digital media in Nielson’s Online 2009 Power Moms list. She is a member of the Walmart Moms Social Media program. She is a contributing editor for BlogHer.com and a member Hanes’ Social Media Comfort Crew. She has been a spokesperson for EA SPORTS Active and was recently featured in national commercials for this product.
Renée has appeared in Parents Magazine, Southern Living, and The Atlanta Journal Constitution. She has also been featured on MSN’s Health Channel webisode series Kellogg’s The Victory Project.

Also, your contact me button on your right sidebar doesn't work.
I have nominated you for a Liebster Award. I have no idea who Liebster is, but it’s like a giant chain letter. It’s for bloggers to nominate other blogs they enjoy reading that have a small (in your case, larger than mine) following. Plus, voila! Easy blog post topic.
Anyway, for the questions I was required to ask you and the list of rules, you can see my blog post where I have nominated you here at http://www.seenancyrun.wordpress.com
Thanks!
Nancy
