I have been inspired to create Cutie Booty Cakes by the original cutie booty - Mekhi Eli, my one year old son. I had never even heard of diaper cakes before my pregnancy and now I am in love with creating them. Since I spend a lot of time with diapers I figure why not make it enjoyable?
After working for over a decade in non-profit management and government, upon the birth of my son I decided that working from home was the best choice for me. An opportunity presented itself and after being back at work full-time for 3 months I left my position for a more flexible schedule.
As a graduate of Spelman College with a Master's Degree from The American University I know I am prepared for the entrepreneurial lifestyle. I have the full support of my husband who is also an entrepreneur and has been pressing me to venture into my own business forever.
In addition to building my business Cutie Booty Cakes I am currently a non-profit management consultant for a national literacy organization. I am a busy woman but am happy with the flexibility of my schedule and the ability to enjoy quality time with my child.
